Have you heard of Grief Yoga? It’s a certain set of poses that help release the tension & emotions we carry in our bodies when grieving.
Grief yoga combines different types of yoga, movement, and breathing techniques to process grief, heal, and transform. The person becomes aware of the present moment and struggles with pain in the mind or body, and grief yoga helps to express and release the struggle through movement and breathing.

When I was first asked to lead a Grief Yoga class by my new friend, Szilvi, for her & other mothers who’ve lost children, I wasn’t sure if I could. It seemed so soon. My grief is still so raw. But something I can say from experience is we heal best through helping others. So this morning I led the practice & it was wonderful! It is just as therapeutic for me as it is for them. ![]()
Update June 26th, 2023: We now hold this practice every Sunday morning in Scottsdale and are growing weekly. Please contact me if you’d like to join us. All are welcome!
